Backboards are not included in any base table package. Backboards can be added on at an additional cost.

Backboards are only available for full tables, or 2 “half-table artists” who have mutually agreed to share a table (see: “Can I share a full table with a friend?”)

You do not need to provide your public liability insurance at the time of your initial application. If your application is successful, you will have the chance to submit your documents at a specific set date before the event (per the instructions in a follow up email).

Reasons for why an unsuccessful application may be due to a breach of the Tokyo Alley Artist Alley Terms & Conditions, which includes but is not limited to the portfolio…

  • Not having enough pieces for reasonable and fair judgment.
  • Primarily featuring sketches, unfinished concepts, or poorly scanned/photographed artwork.
  • Including work that is stolen, traced, AI generated, asset flipped, or non-transformative.
  • Including unrelated posts which distract from the artwork.
  • Is inaccessible due to a broken link, password requirement, or private account.

Due to the limited space in the artist alley, we are not able to accept all applicants. Artists who are not initially accepted will be placed on a waitlist. If a placement within the artist alley becomes vacant, we may offer the space to an artist from the waitlist.
